You'll never have to rely on passengers to tell you if the coast is clear as you merge lanes because the Ford Flex includes a Blind Spot Information System known as BLIS that uses sensors as watchful eyes around the vehicle. If a flashing icon shows up in the side mirror closest to the lane you're merging into, and you hear an alert, this means a car is sitting in your blind spot!
The AdvanceTrac system with Roll Stability Control also uses sensors beneath the vehicle to monitor vehicle roll and turning rates. If you should start to lose control, the system will apply the brakes accordingly and lower the engine's power to help your wheels stay true to course.
